DELL MINI 9 and Belkin range extender problem

Hi everybody,

I'm new in this comunity so I wish to say hi to all of you!

I've bought recently a Mini 9 with Ubuntu 8.04 installed, as you can immagine I'm struggling to learn how to use it and I have a big problem with my range extender router.

I have a Belkin Range Extender Universale G Wireless that help me to have a proper signal all around my house.

No problem wih my dell latitude d620 I can get the signal all around without any problem BUT with the mini i can get the signal but I cannot login!

I've tried to check the main router and the range extender and I have the following reply:

Assuming you have the correct key entered for the WPA2/TKIP, is the MAC address of your wireless card in the list of allowed devices on your router?  You can get the MAC using ifconfig eth1 from a shell.

Also, is the DLink someone elses?  While it appears to be a much weaker signal, since it is on the same channel it might be causing some interferrence.

    Thanks Larry,

I've not lokk into the MAC address as I thought it was ONLY for Mac! I'll try to look into it and I'll let you know if it will work.

The Dlink is in my nighbour house where we share the connection (it's in his house but we pay 50% each) so no problem to change the channel, I didn't notice it was on the same channel but I don't think this i shte problem as I was tryin gto connect to Belkin in a place of the house where there was no signal of the dlink.

Do you know How can I change the following?

    Working:

Pairwise Ciphers (2) : TKIP CCMP

    Not Working:

    Pairwise Ciphers (1) : CCMP

Thansk for your help and sorry for my englih that is not my native language.
