Dell Wireless 1470 network address problem
Greetings!
I very recently bought a Inspiron B130 that had the 1470 network card installed. I am having problems with connecting wirelessly to the internet. I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4GHz router in my apartment.
The problem I am having is the card can not acquire a network address. It connects just fine and has full or nearly-full signal strength. It will sit there all day and try to acquire an address, but is unable to do so. I do believe I have the current drivers as well, so that shouldn't be a problem.
If anyone has a suggestion, it would be much appreciated!

- You should not enable MAC Address filtering until your problem is solved. If it had been enabled before and the MAC address of your new network card was not entered into the table of allowed MAC address, then it might have explained your problem, but enabling it now, will certainly not help solve the problem. Try using the reset button on the router and see if you can connect when the router is set back to its default settings.Steve

Do you have MAC Address filtering enabled on the router?
