Okay, my mother's dell dimension 2400 was reformated and windows xp reinstalled.  No matter what I do, the computer won't get online or it always is waitng and the page never downloads.  I've done the following things.

 

- installed the drivers that I thought might apply ..R47822, R64645, R79695

- Checked the router connection by switching it with another computer attached to the router

- tried winsockfix

- checked the internet protocol settings

 

I've done most of this about 5 times.  I've been searching the forums ofr others with the same problem but haven't found the solution.

 

Please help, I'm about to lose my mind.
