Intel Wifi Link 4965 Draft N mini pci refuses to work. Device Manager says device cannot start.
Its been bugging me for days now. Desperatly need help. I bought 2 supposedly new Intel 4965AGN from an online auction. I installed it in my Latitude D620 with Windows XP Pro, really exited, got the drivers from Intel's website and went thru the whole thing. XP picks it up, recognises it and in the end it said device cannot start. Then i put the other card in and still the same issue. I tried a clean install of XP and tried installing JUST the Dranft N driver, STILL no use. I have tried all version of the drivers avaible. Nothing seems to work. They all end up "Device cannot start". Now, unless they are defective, i dont know what the heck is going on here. I even upgraded the bios to the latest version A08. HELP !

How are the cables connected? There are three wireless leads available and I'm interested in which colors are connected to the terminals 1 - 3?Did you ultimately get this going? I have the same card running in a 620 with both W2K and Vista drives that I interchange, but I'm not sure that I'm getting the optimal throughput.- I am sure it has nothing to do with the cables. What happened was that the ones that i had earlier were defective, I got one from Dell's website and it works great with my D620. I am working with a Buffalo Nfiniti Wireless Router. The max rate i get is 150Mbps, but mostly i am at 144mbps. sometimes it suddely drops to 43 or so. Excellent range though. Good stuff i should say.

Does your latest post mean that the Intel 4965 card you ordered from Dell works fine in your D620? I've been told that they are not compatible? What speed processor do you have in the D620? Has any one had any other experience with trying to install Draft N cards in a D620?
