I am about to get delivery of a truemobile wirless router and a usb tm1180 usb wrls unit and a pci for a desktop

my son inlaws say we can place the wirless router one place in the house along with the direcpc (high speed) modem. and connect to it using each computer to access the internet. ill make myself clear this will not have a computer at the outer. is this possible
