Two Puters Sharing DSL Conn.

Hello, I have two Dell desktops & want to run my dsl to both puters.I'm new to this aspect & would like to know what I would need to set this up.The main puter just has the dsl modem.I want to tap off of that & connect the other puter . What kind of router will I need? Please, someone point me in the right direction to get me started. Thanx!  Jim

If both computers will connect by a wired ethernet connection, then you just need a simple 4 port cable/dsl router.  If you want to connect any computer through wireless, then you will need a wireless cable/dsl router.  These are standard devices and any brand will work.  Just make sure your dsl modem can connect by ethernet, as it is nearly impossible to find any router that can connect by USB.

Will the second puter need a dsl modem? No, the router will share the dsl modem with up to 256 computers.

Is there a limit on how long the  ethernet cable can be feeding the second puter? 300 feet
