Vista Bluetooth Problems - Uninstall Widcomm?

We have a Dell Inspiron 1520 and a 1525 with the "Dell Wirless 355 Bluetooth Mod".

We are running Windows Vista Home Premium.

The problem is that after coming out of Sleep mode the Bluetooth appears to be on, but it doesn't remember any of the devices.

Also, sometimes when they boot up the Bluetooth does the same thing and we have to reboot to get the mouse working (almost half the time on the 1525).

I read a post that uninstalling the Widcomm and using the native Vista bluetooth drivers would fix this.

Does anyone have any comments on this?

Will it work, or will I end up with other problems?

I uninstalled Widcomm, and the bluetooth connection improved marginally.  Now I occasionaly get a windows installer message that tells me I am looking for the Widcomm software.  I tried to reinstall it w/ the Dell BT Travel Mouse Utilities Disk but it tried to set up a USB connection for a mouse.  Couldn't find any options for searching the disk in Vista....
