Cable is faster than DSL but more expensive.

I have cable and wouldn't trade it for anything.

On the other hand, DSL (if you can get it) is very fast, too.

I hope I understand your post correctly and if I do, it sounds like you're trying to use a broadband router in a regular phone jack.

Do you have DSL?

If you DON'T have DSL, a router will do you no good.

Routers are used for high speed broad band internet connections like cable or DSL (Digital Subscriber Line).

In any case, the router manufacturer I would recommend is Linksys.

CompUSA carries them as do most of the big computer suppliers.

i have dial up so your saying i cant use a router?  I'm so tired of dragging the phone cord from room to room and now its broken and it keeps fallin out and stuff  help!!
