I did something long time ago (can't remember now) to disable wireless networking. Now trying to get it back to work but couldn't.
1. I assume one can enable
2. The Wireless Network Connection shows 'Not connected' (only disable and repair options available). - When try to disable it, it shows "It is not possible to disable the connection at this time. This connection may be using one or more protocols that do not support Plug-and-Play, or it may have being initialized by another user or the system account."
- When try to repair it, it shows "...because the following cannot be completed: disabling the wireless network adapter. Make sure your network adapter is properly installed" (I have not physically done anything to the network adapter)
How to make the wireless network (internet) working again?
Assuming it is enabled in the BIOS (since it shows up in Windows), I'd recommend checking Fn+F2 to enable the radio or Device Manager to have Windows enable the hardware itself.
I tried the fn+F2 (both held together and seperate) but nothing happens (shows up).
I tried the device manager under Network Adapter, all show enabled. So disable then enable each one (I assume this is what you meant). Still not connected. What is next? Note device manager shows 4 adapters 1) 1394 Net adapter; 2) Broadcom 440x10/100 Integrated controller 3) Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network connection 4) Microsoft Loopback Adapter (Loopback added for Oracle long after this issue exists ).
