Hi people, could anyone tell me how can I access the internet in my car (or anywhere)? I am having 802.11g wireless which works good with my laptop; however, I can access the Internet only in network area. So any advice? Do I have to buy a new card or what else should I do to enable that feature of wireless?
cell phone work or a satellite service which is costly. I use my sprint cell phone with snapdialer software. it connects 230k which seams pretty fast for a cell phone.
As of now, there is no such thing as universal wireless internet service. The closest there is is something like Verizon Broadband, which has very little coverage and requires a completely different type of wireless network card than you currently have. Coverage is limited right now to a few major cities, but is expanding. It is currently pretty expensive. See the following:
boppo (sorry misspell, I guess) I am using Sprint cell phone too, but I want to access internet on my laptop in my car, does that have to deal with Sprint PCS company or what?
i went to radio shack and got a usb cable for my phone and snap dial software. you can look on the net to see if your phone works with
www.futuredial.com I have internet browser with my phone plan so I just us minutes when my laptop is on the net using the phone. snapdial cost 29.95 and the usb cable was 14.95.
you can get a card from sprint but it cost a lot more the just using your phone. I am on my laptop now using just the cell phone and it works just fine. this is about all i can tell you. the cell phone with the software dialer is faster then a home phone line.
