    Hi annmae

If this happens right at the boot up an before you can get into windows a trick migh be to have a digital camera ready and snap a photo. Then you can record the info

...or you can drop to start (round windows logo)..search...type in "eventvwr".  This will launch the event log...look under the system log.  Blue screens are usually written to the log and it sometime gives the code stop in the entry.  Good luck.

Hi annmae and welcome to the Dell Forums

We need to know the info on that shows up on the Blue screen. Normally there is a file name and a long alphanumeric code. This can help us further help you to troubleshoot the proboem.

On another thought if you are still under warranty you need to contact Dell support to get this issue at least logged.

TNX DAVET50, I tried to contact dell support and the first step they gave is to record the codes in the error message. My problem now is how to record this message if it only appears for a few seconds only before it shuts down and restarts again.
