Hello everyone,
I have a Dell 9020 MT with Intel 4590. I want to upgrade the psu because i want to install AMD RX 570. I have the moddy adapter for the 8 pins psu connector. Now there is this psu in discount my country it is the:
Will it work? I have read on this forum that 700 watt recommended but i have seen on youtube people using evga 500w powersupply with moddy adapter with no problems.

for i5-4590, RX570, 4x4 gb ddr3, sata 7200 hdd, using basic online psu calculator, psu need is 340-370w only. A 400-460w is more than enough to cover your system power consumption.

500w power supply if its the 500B
B2 BQ W1 N1 are not ok.
version is fine for 9020 3670 etc and a 75W card.

Power supplies have more than 1 rail and more than a single spec of Watts.
You CANNOT USE max power on all rails at the same time.
Which is why the combined power is very specific for 3.3v/5v rails.
Dell W299G/J556T 875w unit has 225W on those rails and 32 amps for 5v and 30 amps for 3.3v
some other vendors have 90 to 130W max combined for 3.3v/5v even for their 1000W units which is why there are problems.
Dell has 150W combined for 3.3v/5v on their 305W power supply.
