Dell Command Update Notifications

I can't find any simple way to disable notifications from DellCommandUpdate Version 5.7 despite MANY repeated attempts. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Yes, you can turn off notification by selecting Disable Notifications under Update Settings.  In depth information can be reviewed below.

    Update settings

You can configure Dell Command | Update to automatically check for system updates on a given schedule.

Perform the following steps to configure the schedule for checking updates:

    1. On the title bar, click Settings.
    2. On the Settings screen, click Update Settings.
    3. Under Automatically check for updates > Check for updates, select one of the following:
      • Weekly Updates—If you select this option, Dell Command | Update runs the updates on the system once in a week. You have the option to Select the time and Select the day of the week to run updates.
      • Monthly Updates—If you select this option, Dell Command | Update runs the updates on the system once in a month. You have the option to Select the time and Select the date or Week and Day of the month to run updates.
      • Daily Updates—If you select this option, Dell Command | Update runs the updates on the system daily. You have the option to Select the time of the day to run updates.
NOTE:If the selected day for a specific month is not available, then the updates get installed on the last day of that particular month.

You have the option to select the action to perform and the notification to display When updates are found. The options are:

      1. Notify Only—Notify when updates are available and ready to be installed.
      2. Download Updates—Notify when the updates are downloaded and ready to be installed.
      3. Download and install updates—Notify after the updates are installed.
        • Installation Deferral —Allows the user to defer the installation. You have the option to Select the Deferral interval and Deferral count.
        • System Restart Deferral—Allows the user to defer the system restart. You have the option to Select the Deferral interval and Deferral count.
        • Reboot after updates are installed—Allows the user to select the checkbox to reboot the system after updates are installed.

You have the option to prevent being notified When updates are found:

      • Disable Notifications—If you select this checkbox, all notifications except Mandatory Scheduled Restart will be disabled.
    4. Under Retry attempts to install failed Updates, select Maximum Retry Attempts.
