Optiplex 790, pascal card
Does a gtx 1070 ti or gtx 1080 ti work with a dell optiplex 790? its bios is A22 I removed the riveted hdd thingy so any card would fit and upgrade the psu to 700w 80 plus

it can work but only if it physically fits into the case AND your power supply is big enough.
1080 ti is a 300W card.
Aux power uses One 6-pin, One 8-pin
evga 700BR is bare minimum I would recommend using
3.3v/5v combined 150W

Choose WRONG 8 pin and motherboard catches fire
SLOT power + AUX power = 300W

As long as the cards fit, you should be fine.
