Upgrading cpu Optiplex 760 SFF

Hi everyone

I'm considering an upgrade for this pc but i'm not sure if it could actually do it. The system has a 235W power supply and i'm not sure if it could cope with the demand that I will be asking. Currently the cpu is an Core 2 Duo E8400 and i'm looking for a Core 2 Quad of some sort but these all have at least 95W of TDP compared to the 65W of the current one. Does anyone know if this will work? Below are some screenshots of CPU-Z of the system if that helps.

    @OrkaXL

    Un supported due to power supply and motherboard regulator issues.

    Other Dell models like Inspiron 530 for example have 350W power supply when there is a quad core cpu.

    Even Optiplex 755 models require 305W power supply for core 2 quads.

    The  DT SFF USFF power supply does not support Quads.

    You are limited to

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8600/3.33GHz, 6M, 1333FSB

    Only the Tower Does and only with specific Motherboards.

    The Optiplex 760 MT uses two motherboards -
    T674K Non-Quad core CPU motherboard
    U562N Quad core CPU motherboard

    Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9650/3.00GHz, 12M, 1333FSB

    You  you cannot use a quad core CPU on it.

    38G73 E7400, 2.8GHz, 3MB, WFD, R0, (With VT)
    F31F5 E7500, 2.93GHz, 3MB, WFD, R0, (With VT)
    06YMG Dual Core E7600, 3.06GHz, 3MB, R0, (With VT)
    H399J Dual Core E8400, 3.0GHz, 6MB, 65W, E0, 1333FSB
    D923J Dual Core E8500, 3.16GHz, 6MB, 65W, E0, 1333FSB
    N654J Wolfdale Processor E8600, 3.33GHz

    This forum post should help out but basically the PSU (which is smaller than the DT PSU) cannot handle it.

    I am not a Dell employee...I am forum volunteer

    Serious work on an E5430 and constantly building and working on an i5-6500 Desktop

    I'm not sure about the USFF, but the other sizes - MT, DT, & SFF came with different motherboards each.  One MB can take quads, one can't.  Depends on the part number (P/N) of the MB.  I thought I had a reference of the P/N's saved, but don't.  I'm sure one can search for the threads though.

    I went from an E8400 to a Q9650 in my previous 755 MT.  SSD and increasing RAM from 4GB to 8GB made a much more noticeable difference in speed.

    There are 65 watt Yorkfield quad processors that should work with a 760 SFF (M863N labeled motherboard.)  From Q8200s to Q9550s.

    * Core 2 Quad Q9550s, 2.83 GHz (2×6 MB L2, 1333 MHz FSB, 65 W TDP)

    I'm attaching the 760 Tech Guide.  Search using "processor" to go down to the CPU table.  SFF can still take 95w CPU.  USFF can't.

    @bradthetechnut can confirm, have an 760 SFF and the q8200 works fine
