I am having trouble coming up with a strategy to build a bootable CD for the 1850 server. I need this cd to be the "in case of emergency, break glass" tool. I have tried Ghost 8.0 but I am not having luck. Any suggestions?
How does the Disaster Recovery option function Answer: The Disaster Recovery option is installed on the ARCserve Host server. Then a full machine backup is done of whichever machine you wish to DR at a future point in time. When the full machine backup is performed, machine specific Disaster Recovery information is compiled and sent to the Disaster Recovery folder in a directory named with the name of the server you have backed up. After you have performed a successful full machine backup you can then proceed to creating your Disaster Recovery boot diskettes or you may choose to create a bootable DR cdrom. In performing the Disaster Recovery you will boot the downed server from the diskette or cdrom and follow the DR prompts until your server is brought back to the original state that it was in before the disaster.
