LOST AND FOUND

I am looking at servers for sale on ebay like a PowerEdge. is there some way i can run the Service tag on the dell site to see if it is stolen or product history?  Yes, i done the Need Driver bit, no info.  i have spent the last half hour looking and thout, why not ask.

    Go to support.dell.com and login (create an account if necessary).  Should now be a button at the top that says "My Systems & Peripherals" - click on this.  Add in any service tags that you like...

    I can provide you with a basic history, but customer info is confidential.  I can give you the basic service history and ensure that the system is not showing as stole.  What is the service tag?

    Ya, I did this but it does not give you history or ownership. I spoke to me Dell Rep. and they can look this up for me but this is personal and not business so that ant the way to go. They are not aware of a way this can be done other wise.

    I like others got burned on buying things, I was hopping there was something I missed. With all of the theft in the world of Technology. You would think a site to stop or prevent this would be born.
