i have been playing with bios--everything worked ok but i wanted to disable the raid set up
so i went into bios and
changed channel a to scsi and b to scsi and secondary scsi to off

and wa able to install and play with linux

recently i have noticed on boot up the channel a scsi devices but not the channel b which if i recall was the cdrom

i have installed knoppix 3.7 from cdrom so it used to work

any ideas?

could it be my cdrom is toasted
