power problems
Hi, I have a problem with Dell PowerEdge Server 840, the servers clearly is out of warranty, they light up all the lights feel discs that run, but the server does not start. What can I do?
Salve, ho un problema con Server Dell Power Edge 840, il server chiaramente è fuori garanzia, si accendono tutte le spie si sentono i dischi che girano ma il server non si avvia. Cosa posso fare?

I have already carried out the tests described, but the server does not start, the problem I think is the motherboard! How can I fix?

Dagenovesi,
What I would suggest is taking the server to a Minimum to Post configuration. That is removing everything from the server, but the following;
System board
Processor
One Memory DIMM
One Power Supply
Control Panel
If the server starts under that configuration then I would start adding the removed devices back individually so we can identify if there is a failed device.

Quello che vorrei suggerire è di prendere il server a un minimo di configurazione Post. Quella è la rimozione di tutto, dai server , ma il seguente ;
Sistema di bordo
Processore
Una memoria DIMM
Un alimentatore
Pannello di controllo
Se il server inizia sotto tale configurazione poi vorrei iniziare ad aggiungere i dispositivi rimossi di nuovo individualmente in modo da poter identificare se c'è un dispositivo guasto .
