HI,

 

I have just been given a Dell Poweredge 1400c machine with dual 1GHz processors and 2Gb or RAM. I figured the machine would be great for home use. There are two things I would like to resolve.

 

1) The F10 Utilities option at start doesn't work because the drive has been flattened. How could I get this back?

 

2) The secondary fan fails at startuo meaning that F1 is required to boot. I have tried a different fan and still get the same error. What is the board expecting to see at the connector? The fan is running without issue, it just isn't being detected properly.

 

I'd appreciate any feedback.
