HDD in pio mode
Hello!
I have a poweredge 650 (P4, 2,4 Ghz, 1 GB RAM) with two Samsung SP0822N Hdds inside. Windows 2003 Server installed. Both harddisks are running in pio mode! Changeing the values in the hardware dialogs does not work. If I set DMA mode, it rests in pio mode.
I also tried already to change the values in the registry (MasterIdDataCheckSum removed) and rebooted. Both harddisks are still in pio mode.
Do you have any hints ?

Thanks. After installing the SIL 680 Drivers from the Dell Support Page everything is fine now!

3) Updating SiI 680 driver on Windows Server 2003 from existing Silicon Image driver

section, click on 'Hardware' tab, and then on 'Device Manager'
click 'IDE/ATAPI Controllers'
'SCSI and RAID Controller'and right click 'Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller'' Silicon Image SiI 0680 ATA/133 Controller'.device[Recommended]'. Insert the driver diskette into floppy drive.
Click 'Next' and complete the driver installation.
At the end of the process, click 'Yes' to reboot your system when necessary.
