Our Dell 2550 has a degraded drive (and it just went out of warrenty less that two weeks ago). I get a constant beeping noises from the server that does not cease. A replacement HD is on the way, but until it gets here, I would like to turn off the beeping - before my co-workers hurt me. From other posts I know that going into CRTL-M you can modify the Perc to stop the beeping, but a cursory glance let me know that one wrong move and I could really hurt something. Does anyone know the steps to stop the Perc warning beep, or can they point me to a manual that outlines the steps?
