    Hello

Green and amber indicate that the drive is predictive failure. It has hit a threshold of bad blocks and the SMART on the drive has marked the drive predictive failure. The best practice replacement steps are:

    1. Get a valid tested backup of any important data
    2. Run a consistency check
    3. Offline the predictive failure drive
    4. Replace the drive. Hot swap if you have a backplane. Shut down and replace if cabled.
    5. If the rebuild does not start automatically then set the replacement drive as a hot spare

You can use one of our management utilities like OpenManage Server Administrator to run consistency checks, offline drives, and assign hot spares.

    Thanks

A consistency check is a virtual disk option. It will not be available in the physical disk section. Look under the virtual disk section.

Also, check the drive options in the virtual disk section for an offline option. On the H710 the option to offline is available in both the virtual and physical disk sections. The H310 option may not be available in both sections, or it may only be available from the controller BIOS. I would have to test with an H310 to be sure and I don't have one readily available.

    Thanks
