Shared folder

Can anybody help me with this problem?

I am running server 2003. I want to create a shared folder that automatically shows up under My Computer as a network drive without the client having to map it.  i did it once before but now i don't remember. I think it has something to do with permissions.

You can run a login script which can be applied to each user. the login script can be anything but i will show you how to do it as a batch file (.bat)

    --- start logon.bat ---
    net use /persistent:no
    --- end logon.bat ---

This file goes into your .. dont quote me .. something like \windows\sysvol\sysvol\domain.name\policies\somethingoranother\user\scripts\logon

this should automaticly run once the script is there, if not you can in the USERNAME what file to run for the logon script. - check the profile tab in the properties of the username (active directory users and computers)

If you do that i THINK you need to put the script in \windows\sysvol\sysvol\domain\scripts (maybe?)
Anywyas if you google you should find it eaisly as well !

ADUC: check the "Profile" tab, insert the UNC to the folder at "Local Path", or map the drive to a specific letter via "Connect" radio button.
