Starting in ScaleIO 1.31, SDC is installed in ESXi 5.5 host directly. You can see significant performance difference.

    Hi,

That is not supported. You must install the SDC on the ESXi host through the ScaleIO plugin.

You can follow the instructions here: https://support.emc.com/docu59359_ScaleIO-1.32-Deployment-on-VMware-Quick-Start-Guide.pdf?language=en_US

While that may work it would be best to place the SIO SDC on the Windows server and map volumes directly to the Windows sever.

Really not sure what your trying to do. Please elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish.

We have one existing Vmware environment which uses FC san disk, now we plan to configure there windows physical server as SDS server , could the three windows be used to provide iscsi disks to exiting Vmware vm by installing sdc in vm?

    Thanks in advance.
