powermt display shows "Initialization error"

Hi,

Installed Power Path on oracle enterprise linux (2.6.18-53.el5). Have fc connection to cx3-40c with emulex dual hbas.
powermt version shows -
EMC powermt for PowerPath (c) Version 5.1.0 (build 194)

But when I try powermt display I get -
Initialization error.

and powermt check gives -
Error: unable to update device configuration file(s)

I have three servers with same installation. On one the Powermt commands are working fine, the other two behave as above. I removed and re-installed the package, but same trouble.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.
