Hello,

Currently have an MD3000i connected to an MD1000. Have purchased another MD1000 to connect to the existing setup.  Am I correct im assuming this is how it's connected:

Currently the 3000i and 1000 are connected in dual path and are working great. I can simply power off both the 3000i and current 1000, connect the new 1000 using both SAS cables to both the OUT connectors of the current 1000 to the IN of the new 1000 correct? Then using Disk Manager I can go in and "refresh" the setup and it should find the new disks which I can create a new array? 

In connecting the new 1000 to the current 1000, do I have to reinitialise the entire array again therefore losing all the data ( i have arrays spanned over the 3000 and 1000) on there or will it just see the new disks connected and let me define a new array with those disks only? Losing data is not an option :D so I'd rather be safe then sorry. Hopefully that made sense.
