Hi,

I currently have 2 sets of Dell 630F and these are connected to a Dell 51F using 2 HSSDC - DB9 Copper fiber Channel Cable.

 

I have deployed the VMware ESX servers on my 1550's and wanted to use the SAN setup as Datastores for the VM's.

 

From the ESX servers i have tried to scan the servers but they don't seem to be picking it up. I am sure there needs to be some more config done on the SAN for setting up the LUN's and also on the 51F... but not sure what needs to be done or where to start.

 

Could i get some help to first tell me if i have all the correct kit installed or if there are any missing bits ?

How do i go about setting up the SAN so that i access it via the 51F from my Dell 1550 servers.
