Here is how you are going to want to power down the MD3820i.

1. Power down the server(s)

2. Power down the MD3820(i)

3. Power down any attached storage (MD1400)

Then to power up after your power has been restored you just do the reverse.

You will pull the plug out the power supplies to power off your MD38xx.  There is not a shutdown button in MDSM that will power down an MD3xxx system.

He asked how to correctly power down the MD38 not what order. Do you click 'shutdown' in an interface somewhere or do you just pull the plug out?
