MD3000 Virtual Disk Copy
'Allo,
I am trying to move some data around on our MD3k so I can replace a small disk group with a much bigger one.
Setup: 2x 2003 WUDSS + MD3000, Clustering is there, but only one node controls a LUN at once.
On the current group, there are 2x LUNs, one of which I used the VDC fine and that all works, when I tried the second one, it copied fine, but I cannot mount the destination location.
If I try to assign a letter through Disk Manglement, I get "The operation did not complete", in event viewer, nothing of importance is added at the same time, however around the time the copy finished... there is
Event 59: Disk 4 will not be used because it is a redundant path for disk 6.
Have I done something wrong?
My Process was: Create new group, new lun, format the lun, setup the copy, run the copy, mount the new partition with a letter and assign it as a cluster resource. and off I go.
