ME4024 Pool and raid10

Hello,

I have one pool with two disk group (for unclear reasons, in raid10 we can use only 16 disks per group)

Now when I will create a Virtual disk for the whole Pool size, how Raid10 will operate?

Like two raid10 16 and 6 or like 24 disks?

    Hello mrslyfox,

There is not a way to have all 22 drives in the same virtual disk.  Unlike an MD3 system where you can have 22 drives in the same virtual disk, with an ME4 there is a max of 16 drives per virtual disk.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello mrslyfox,

Looking at the picture that you have posted, you will have two raid10 that will operate independent of each other.   Even though you have both virtual disk in the same pool both virtual disk will operate on their own.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
