Dell Precision Tower 5810 doesn't wake from sleep.
Hi all,
I have a Dell Precision Tower 5810. When I leave it for some time, it turns off and goes into the state where the power button is blinking (as it should). When I go to wake it from this state, it starts to boot, but nothing then happens. I have to hold down the power button to shut it down then boot it from a shut down state.
I don't know where to start with how to fix this. One observation I've made is that when I try and wake it from the 'blinking LED' state, all of the 'caps lock', 'scroll lock' and 'num lock' buttons only change the numlock light. I don't know if this is helpful or indicative of any issue.
I think this computer also has a hardware raid, as the disk in task manager has the 'SCSI' name in it. In computer management, the disk also shows up as basic meaning it's not a software raid.
I have gotten around this with a PS2 keyboard in the past. I am not sure if updating the BIOS to the last (latest) update Dell did might work as well. I am actually dealing with the same situation and I am looking for one of my old PS2 keyboards.
Has anybody tried?... Set USB Selective Suspend to disabled. Set power button to Sleep. This way, the power button wakes PC from sleep once in sleep state instead of powering down.

ssd or nvme boot drive ? if nvme, what version of the IRSTe driver are you using ? Some have some bugs on sleep, if memory serves me right
Os ?
