DOES DELL T7910 SUPPORT OPTANE MEMORY

Hi,

Recently I purchased a Dell T7910 Tower Workstation with Dual Xeon E5-2680 v4 CPU, 128GB DD$ RAM (32gb x 4),graphics card & necessary stuffs already added to workstation.

Dual WD Black 500gb nvme raid used for bootable.

So here query is Does it support Intel Optane Memory for better cache ?

Waiting for your valuable reply folks ?

Thanks

Optane-based cache is for small computing which can not get out of RAM and HDD(or cheap SSD) limits.

Enterprise market supposes that with DP/QP configurations you can purchase hundreds of gigabytes of RAM and install terabytes of latest OPTANE SSDs.

For storage SSD's including Optane NVME they have some advanced options preinstalled at M.2 bays.

P.S. if I am not mistaken, T7910 is based on Broadwell CPUs, so called "5th gen".

Intel does not allow using Optane directly on anything before "7th gen." But I am not sure about SATA implementations, or hybrid drives with onboard Optane cache. Probably these may work anywhere.
