Hello. I have a T3500 and I recently opened it up to clean out all the dust etc. as part of routine maintenance. Afterward, I decided to see how the cooling performance changed. I cannot seem to get the fans in the front to turn on. I installed "SpeedFan" and HardwareMonitor but neither can find a fan controller. The BIOS doesn't have a fan control either.
I should be able to test the function of the fans... I mean it is supposed to be checked via startup POST. So... I'm confused why I don't see any option to make them run.
I ran Dell's diagnostic test and the processor got up to about 80C but no fans ever kicked on. Please advise. Thank you!
