Precision T3610 with memory configuration or compatibility error

I have a Precision T3610 which shows error LED 1 and 3. According to the owner's manual this means "Memory modules are detected, but a memory configuration or compatibility error has occurred."

Unfortunately, the manual contains no hint how to solve this issue.

Changing the DIMMs or its slots did not help.
