1250c Printer from UK not working in US
I work for a company that has offices in multiple countries and we have come across a problem with the 1250c printer we use at many sites all over the United Kingdom and the United States. As we all know, the paper sizes we use are different, A4 for UK and Letter for US. These printers were manufactured and sold in the UK and shipped to our sites here in the US. When set up, they automatically set to A4 as their default paper size. When one of our US sites tries to print with that on our Letter sized paper it prints off the edge of the page and signals an error in the printer. To fix this we went in and changed the default paper type to Letter, but instead of fixing the problem, the printer no longer recognizes that there is any paper in the tray at all. We have not been able to figure out how to fix this issue and were wondering if this is a common firmware issue when using printers from other countries? If so, is there a document somewhere stating this issue has been recognized as a firmware or hardware problem rather than a user problem?
