3100cn - Track Print Jobs Multiple Users

Hello,

I have a 3100cn hooked into a hub and 4 computers that print to it.  We are peer-to-peer without a server, and each computer is configured to print directly to the printer (as opposed to sharing it from one of them to the others).

There are two users that we need to monitor print jobs for (aka keep a log/history of) for auditing purposes (track and control costs).  What is the best way to do this without needing to install a server machine and track it through it?

I have searched and found these two threads below, neither of which answer the question, but pose it all the same:

The lexmark/markvision tool mentioned here did not seem that it would do what I need either, or maybe I just need more explanation of the tool?

I also know I can print a log, but it too only keeps the most 21 recent jobs, just as the web configuration tool does (I just printed it using the front panel controls and got the same thing the log showed using eh ews web control).  Printing this several times a day and analyzing it from there is not an option, and I have looked at some third-party solutions (papercut etc) and all require a server or other list of users which we just do not have since we are using peer-to-peer networking.

All systems run a combination of XP Home and XP Pro, all with SP2.  Is there a way to pull a log of all print jobs from this printer or to set it to track it?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated,
