922 AIO Printer Quality Problem

Printing has had several problems. Lines through words and also looks at times that words are being partially printed over each other. I am sending copies of latest problems.  I've done everything that Dell said to do as far as cleaning the nozzles and the cartridge. Thanks for all the help you can give me.

    mrbowler,

From what I'm seeing, the lines look consistant. I would say you have a flat spot on your printer roller.

Can a new roller be put in or do I need to buy another printer?

    mrbowler,

I would start looking for another printer. Doubtful if the roller can be replaced. Flat rollers come from the printer sitting in that position for a long period of time, with out being used.

Do you have any suggestions on which Dell printer would be equivalent to the 922 AIO ?

    mrbowler,

The list of the newer model of Dell Inkjet Printers can be found HERE.

I would look at the V model printers. They are made from the same company that made the Dell 922 Printer. The models that have a w after them are wireless printers.

I own the Dell V715w Wireless Printer. At the word  HERE it looks like it's on sale for $99.99, other models are $79.99 and $69.99. I have had my Dell V715w since January 14, 2010 and had to clean the printhead once but it been running great ever since. I order the Dell Series 24 ink cartridges, since they last a long time, between 150 to 200 days and still going. Printing in our home comes and goes. Slow during the summer but during school, it sometimes gets a workout. I just printed our name and address on 330 Christmas cards and it still has plenty of ink. It's wireless and stays on our network 24/7

You may want to run the Dell Printer Learning Center to see which one suits you. I would stay away from the P model printers, since they were made by Kodak and some models, cannot remember which models, have printhead problems and some need the printhead replaced. Remember Printer warranty is usually 30 days.
