Actually mine did that too, i called dell and the sent me a new one and now this new now is not loading the paper either. Now i am calling  dell looking for ways for them to help me.

Does it happen with all types of paper? Is the paper guide flush with the edge of the paper? Is the paper inserted all the way into the printer?

It happen with every paper, I usually insert the paper all the way down if it doen't take regular paper feed or i use the paper feeded and it stilll jam to the left or right

yes.... It just seems like the gears do not mess to move the paper
