No, Lexmarks don't fit or work in a Dell. But there is an alternative. You can refill you ink carts for about $2.50 per refill. Refill kits cost about $10.00 and refill about 4-8 times, saving you over $100.00. I would only count on refilling a new empty cartridge about 6 more times although I have refilled my Dell 922 ink carts more than a dozen times and will continue to refill them until they no longer work, with a probable savings of thousands of dollars. I print several thousand black printed pages per month and about 100 8x10 color photos per month.

No, the Lexmark cartridges are chipped differently. They may physically fit the 720 ink bay, but you'd get a cartridge error. Only Dell carts work in the 720.

I use Universal and i-Print color and black ink refill kits, which contain 75ml. of ink. That's enough to refill your ink carts 3 to 8 times depending on the capacity of your cartridge. I have bought the kits at Target, K-mart, Walgreens, CVS, and many other drug and discount stores for between $7.99 and $19.00. I currently buy mine at Big Lots for $7.99.

My 922 ink cart is very easy to refill and only takes a couple of minutes. All models use different cartridges and some may be more difficult to refill. All Dell models ending with the number 2 are easy to refill. I am not real familiar with the ink carts for Dell printers ending with the number 0. But I do know others with that printer who also refill theirs. Almost all ink carts are refillable, some are just easier than others.

Some people who refill have had problems with print head clogging, many do not. After dozens of refilling I have never had a head clog.
