Printers, generally, will only print about 78 characters.  If you have a web page, for example, that is wider than the maximum characters the printer will print on a line it will either "chop" them off or print them on the next line.

Sometimes, if you highlight what you want to print and then check "print selection" instead of print all you may be able to get the lines to print properly.

But, it's not a hardware problem with the printer, just a function of what you are trying to print.

You are limited by the hardware in the printer to whatever line length the printer will allow.  Smaller print will give you more characters per line.

Some other brands of printers come with a special web printing program, such as Epson, that will reformat a web page so it prints everything but those programs only come with the new printers.  Canon has a similar program.

One option for wider print is to use the "landscape" mode, but then you will be limited to less lines per page.

You can also select "Shrink to fit paper" when you select "Print"
