Dell 966 print request hangs (wireless connection)

The print job hangs when printing from my Dell laptop via a wireless connection.  When this occurs I am forced to stop and start the dlcq_device and Print Spooler services in order to get a successful print.

When I stop the dlcq_device I get a Dr. Watson error.

Background:
I have two system connected to my Dell 966 via a wireless connection.

The Dell desktop system always works ok.

The Dell Lattitude D620 system often requires me to restart services.  I have reloaded the Dell 966 client software on this system but the results are the same.

Have an identical problem -- dell desktop with the AIO966 attached, and a Dell Dimension laptop that I can't link to the printer.  I'm sure this is an easy fix, but I don't know what it is.

For me the work-around works ok (restart the two services -ignore the error) it's just very tedious.  I've contacted my corporate IT services and they are researching the issue.

I'll post it if I/they find anything.
