Printer won't turn on

The ON button on my Dell V313 printer is lit up, the printer is plugged in at both ends securely (wall and back of printer), no problem with the electrical socket. But when I push or hold in the ON button, the printer now doesn't turn on.  Does that necessarily mean the my printer has just died all of  a sudden? Or is there something else I can try?

    Hi judggy,

If the power button is lit then there is power going to the printer. However, if there is no display coming on then there could be an issue with the system board on the printer.

We can try doing a manual reset to see if that helps.

Unplug the power cable from the printer.

Press and hold Start button(Green button) and Cancel button(Red cross) while you plug the power cable back in.

Let go of these buttons once the power light is lit and check if the display comes back on.

If the issue remains the same then the printer needs to be replaced. Please let us know if this helped. Thank you.

    Thanks -------  IT WORKS!

As of now --- Nov, 2019 ---  Del no longer markets the e515.   I was getting ready to have to spend $150 for another brand replacement.     this reset saved me big time!!

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Unplug the power cable from the socket, then remove and reseat the power cable from the printer's power cable port. Plug the printer back in at the mains and ensure the socket is switched on. Hold down the power button firmly for five seconds. For laser and dot matrix printers, press the power switch to turn it on.
