25 digit key for office

I got a new computer and never any product key number to activate microsoft office. How do I recover my original key that was supposed to come with my system so I can use microsoft word..etc.
Thank you to any help.

If you ordered Office with your computer, then CDs came with it as well as the key.

The key is shipped with the CDs that come with the computer.  If you lost the key prior to activating Office, then you'll likely have to buy a new copy.

Exactly. There are two scenarios that apply here:

    •  If you purchased Office, you should have received backup media that has the product ID number on the CD sleeve. If you did not receive the CDs and are still within the return period you can ask that Dell send replacement media.

    • If you did not purchase Office, you most likely received a trial version that was factory installed. In this case you would have to purchase the full version to continue using it beyond the trial period. The would not be any backup media in this case.
