i don't understand what this software is on my Dimension for, other than i guess it allows the use of a remote?
for me, i tried to view a slide show and all the pictures were pixelated...........tried to set a different rez and then all went black...........had to do a cold reboot twice to get the puter back up and running, so i ask, what will i be losing if i uninstall the DMX software?
This software has proven to be extremely buggy and problematic, so you're really not missing much if you uninstall it. (Plus you can always reinstall using the CDs that come with your computer.)
I bought a remote control from Dell for use with the Dell Media Experience software, and so I'm really hoping the next version won't be as shoddy as the current version, since I would really like to be able to use the remote to watch movies and listen to music.
So, until the next version comes out, my advice is to get rid of it. DMX, currently, is one of the worst pieces of software from a major company I have ever seen.
I agree I removed DMX and powerdvd, I had Intervideo windvd on my fr;; fo,rmdopm 8100 desktop computer and it works fine and you can buy a remote for it. I have removed DMX and power dvd off of my inspiron 9100 labtop and installed Intervideo win dvd, I dont have any problems so far. Dell really need to address this DMX problem, the software xlkdjklsdlkj Iam now happy with my intervideo windvd
