I have been using Outlook 2003 since January. Recently, I tried to load the program and it sits and does not load. It shows up in the Task List as not responding. I close it, an error report goes. Can anyone tell me where to start on this problem? Thanks.
I am having the same trouble. The 'not responding' problem does not usually occur the first time I start Outlook from my desktop icon. If I restart Outlook from the desktop icon, without restarting Windows XP, then I get Outlook 'not responding'. I tried the 'outlook /cleanprofile' and my Outlook starts up just fine without restarting Windows XP. Once I restart Outlook using the '/cleanprofile/ command option I can restart Outlook from the desktop icon with no problem.
Is there something in my profile that I can permanently change to correct this problem?

Close Outlook. Click Start, Run, type the following:
outlook /cleanprofile
Click OK. Does Outlook start?
