"register your dell" pop up is unclickable
Every few days this pop up appears on my desktop asking me to register my dell, it provides what appears to be 4 clickable links. They say 'register', 'remind me later', 'decline', and 'privacy policy'. Well the only one that responds to being clicked on is the privacy policy button. There is no close option, and it does not show up in the task manager. So I can not delete it off of my computer. I went ahead and registered my Dell on their website hoping that would fix this, but it still pops up asking me to register. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone else have any ideas? Its really annoying because the only way I can get rid of it is by restarting my laptop.
Laptop: Dell Studio 1555
OS: Microsoft Vista (64 bit)

Re: sign-in / register pop-up

I had the same problem and followed someones instructions in the Forum myself. Go to "all programs", click on
"Accessories", scroll down to "Run" and click. Type in "misconfig" and click "okay" then "continue", Find "startup" and click.
Scroll down to "supportsoft sprtcmd" and uncheck. I had two of them and I unchecked them both. It solved my problem.
