will microsft money 2006 run on 64-bit WIndows 7 ?

Am in the process of buying a new laptop with 64-bit windows 7 OS and am wondering if it will be compatible?

Any help will be appreciated.

It's hard to say.  The Win 7 compatibility center seems to say no (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/).  That said, they don't have your specific version (Money 2006) listed at all.  By contrast, the Vista compatibility center seems to suggest that Money 2006 will work fine with Vista 32 and Vista 64 -- and generally applications that work in Vista work fine in win 7.

Microsoft is no longer supporting the Money line of software.  It's possible that they have blacklisted it or otherwise prevented it from installing in windows 7.

Best advice is to do a full system backup and then give it a try.  Please post back and let us know if it worked or not.
