My 3100mp projector turns on then goes off. The lamp and fan come on but after a few seconds the red lamp light starts to blink. The projector then shuts off with the fan following shortly after. I need this projector for a presentation next week. Any help would be appreciated

I never resolved this issue. I purchased a new projector.- StaroftheseaThat's unfortunate.I have managed to get my projector fixed.It turned out to be the lamp.However I did not buy a new one but got the old one refurbished.I used a web company called lamps4u.net. I sent the projector and lamp to them who then informed me that they could fix the lamp and make a slight adjustment to it. Better than new and completed within a week. Cost £125 + £15 carriageDo you still have the projector?

Yes I still have the projector. Needed it in a hurry. Thanks for the info. I'll look into having it fixed.
