The error threshold for previous error reached.

Hi

Im new to replistor .Im taking over a site which has replistor installed.Version 6.1 sp4 SMB edition
Now there are 3 severs set up to replicate.2 are going and have green traffic lights.
1 isnt.Its keeps prompting with the below error

"the error threshold for previous error reached.
Process will terminate"

It recommends a data directory deletion

Can some one explain this procedure please

any feedback would be appreicated

    Hi,

    Maintenance--Delete Data Directory

    Please execute the Delete Data Directory.

    And, synchronize again.

    All is ok now.Ran delete on source and target and re-enabled and resync

    Edd,

    There are two things going on here. First, this SMB version of RepiStor (RS) is "very" old and is meant for 2 nodes only. The full version of RS can supports one-to-many or many-to-one, plus other features like Alias failover.

    The message about needing to perform a Delete Data Directory just means that something happened and RS does not know the status of the specifications. To perform a Delete Data Directory you need to go to Maintenance > Delete Data Directory. This will Stop the RS Service, clear the queued I/O operations and restart the service.

    Once that is done, you should clear the message log and check for any new messages.

    Version 6.1 is now end of service life and I would suggest you consider obtaining a new version of RepliStor. Unfortunately the SMB version is no longer available and you will need to consider the full version of RS.
